In-Person Ceremonies for Class of 2020

Congratulations to the UCLA Samueli Class of 2020!

Students who were unable to participate in an in-person ceremony can visit IN-PERSON CEREMONIES FOR THE 2020 CLASS to review options to do so this June.

PAST CEREMONIES FOR CLASS OF 2020

When the COVID-19 pandemic hit in spring 2020 we promised graduates in the Class of 2020 that we would honor them with in-person commencement ceremonies as soon as it is safe to do so with their families and friends present. The UCLA Samueli School of Engineering joined the Campus College for in-person commencement ceremonies at Royce Hall as follows:

Saturday, September 4, 2021 | Sunday, September 5, 2021
Saturday, September 11, 2021 | Sunday, September 12, 2021
Sunday, October 3, 2021 | Saturday, October 9, 2021
Saturday, November 20, 2021 | Sunday, November 21, 2021

Eight dates were offered with up to three campus-wide ceremonies each day (morning, afternoon and/or evening) with additional ceremonies scheduled for June 2022.

On Tuesday, July 6, 2021, eligible graduates can visit the UCLA College 2020 In-Person Ceremonies webpage to participate in a ticket preference survey. On the survey, you will provide four preferences for your ceremony: Your 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th choice date and time. You will be able to request one FREE ticket for yourself (to a single ceremony) and up to four FREE tickets for guests. Additional guest tickets may be requested pending availability.

The survey closes on Tuesday, July 13, 2021. A lottery will determine which ceremony choice each graduate receives. If all four of your preferred ceremonies are full, you will be assigned to a ceremony where there is space available.

On Friday, July 16, 2021 a MyUCLA notice will be posted to your account with your assigned ceremony and the number of guest tickets you will receive. In August, tickets will be sent electronically via email.

For eligibility, attire and other questions, please visit the UCLA College 2020 In-Person Ceremonies webpage. The event organizers can be reached in Message Center at the following links:

We look forward to celebrating with you! Go Bruins!
