The Trauma Research Associates Program

Application deadline is May 3rd, 2019.

UC Leadership Through Advanced Degrees (LEADS) Program

Deadline: March 15th
Requirements:
-A Physical Sciences or Engineering major 
-Educationally and/or economically disadvantaged
-Interested in research and have identified a research lab
-Seasoned UC sophomores or rising junior standing.
-Intending to pursue a PhD in a STEM field
-In good academic standing in undergraduate degree program with a minimum GPA of 3.0
-Able to demonstrate potential for success in a graduate program
-Citizens or permanent residents of the United States or AB540 students

Maximizing Access to Research Careers (MARC) Program

Deadline: April 1st at 5PM
Requirements:
-Applicants must have an interest in increasing diversity within the scientific workforce.
-3.2 GPA at the time of application; borderline GPAs are also encouraged to apply
-Junior or senior standing (completed 90 or more units) by the time that the student will begin as a MARC trainee, AND have two years remaining at UCLA at the start of the program
-Citizen or permanent resident of the United States.
-Major in Life/Physical Sciences or Engineering and conducting research (or planning to conduct research) with a “biomedical” application.

CARE Science, Engineering and Math (SEM) Summer Program

Deadline: March 15th
Requirements:
-Be a UCLA student in good standing with a GPA of 3.0 or above (in the previous quarter and overall)
-Have a faculty mentor and have completed all required trainings for your laboratory
-Identify with at least one of the following (including AB 540 (or DACA) students): from an educationally or socio-economically disadvantaged background, of African, Hispanic, Native American, or Native Pacific Islander descent, or have a registered disability
-Not be currently receiving other summer funding of any type for work done in the laboratory (e.g. work study)
-Be interested in pursuing a PhD or dual degree that includes a PhD (e.g. MD/PhD, DVM/PhD, DDS/PhD)
