• Digital signal processing and high-speed digital design • Electrical breakdown
• Electromagnetics theory, analysis, and experimentation • Embedded systems, including ASIC, PLA and FPGA
• High-performance computing and algorithm development• Microelectronics/silicon fabrication and design
including MEMS/LIGA, CMOS • Modeling, simulation, and visualization of electrical
systems and phenomenon• Nanophotonic design & characterization
• Power systems and electronics • Pulsed power and directed energy
• Radiation effects • Verification & Validation techniques
Based on your interests, you will improve national security by engaging in areas that could include:
• Hypersonic vehicles • Integrated defense systems
• Microsystems • Nuclear weapons and deterrence
• Power sources • Product development and realization
• Radar, RF, and optical systems • Remote sensing and surveillance
• Satellite systems • Telemetry systems
This position may require travel to support current efforts and identify new opportunities for growing our capabilities and impact
When applying to this requisition, you may be interviewed and/or hired by one of several multi-disciplinary teams providing
electrical engineering expertise.
Qualifications We Require
• Master’s in a related discipline; or Bachelor’s in a related discipline plus 4 years’ experience
• Experience in electrical engineering
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoE Q clearance
Qualifications We Desire
• Degree(s) in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Electronics Engineering or Mathematics
• Experience in defense, aerospace and/or weapon systems
• Experience in one or more of the following: electrical design, modeling & simulation, systems integration
• Experience working effectively in a collaborative and interdisciplinary team environment
• Ability to understand a variety of technical disciplines
• Superb communication, partnership, and people skills with demonstrable ability to perform effectively in a teaming
environment
• Critical thinking, synthesis and problem-solving skills
• Ability to prioritize, lead, and complete projects within appropriate scope and timeframe
• Ability to obtain an SCI clearance
