The below scholarships are some Engineering related opportunities that are not sponsored by UCLA Samueli School of Engineering. For more general opportunities, please check with the Scholarship Resource Center in Covel Commons.  Please note that for planning purposes, deadlines are very similar and around the same time from year to year.  Be sure to check the individual scholarship source websites regularly.

ExxonMobil LOFT Fellowship

For Hispanic freshman, sophomores, or juniors attending a 4 yr university with a minimum 3.500 GPA and U.S. citizenship or legal permanent resident of the U.S.  Priority will be given to students studying Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Geoscience, Material Science and Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, but Chemistry, Computer Science, Environmental Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mathematics, Petroleum Engineering and Physics will also be considered.

Buildium - Women in Technology Scholarship

For women enrolled in an accredited undergraduate or graduate degree program in the United States or Canada, studying Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM).  Fall Deadline is November 1st.  Spring Deadline is April 15th

Los Angeles County Sanitation Districts (LACSD) Scholarship

For UCLA Civil/Environmental Engineering Program students

Bill H. James Scholarship for Aspiring African-American Engineers

For junior or senior, African-American/Black (non-Hispanic) students pursuing a degree in an engineering program at an accredited four year college or university in California.  Minimum 3.200 GPA and U.S. Citizenship required

American Society of Heating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) Society Scholarship

For students with Full-time enrollment in an accredited undergraduate engineering or engineering technology program recognized by ASHRAE (Includes several programs).  Deadlines November 15, 2018 and May 1, 2019.

Southwest Chapter of American Association of Airport Executives (SWAAE) Scholarships

For undergraduate or graduate degree in airport or transportation engineering, environmental, planning or airport management may apply for this scholarship.  (Some awards limited to SWAAE Members)

Acopian Power Supply Engineering Scholarship

For full-time students in Electrical Engineering at an accredited university or college inside the United States

3D Printing Student Grant 2019

Show us how you used 3D printing to realize your innovative engineering or design project.  Accepting submissions in 5 categories:  Product Design, Robotics, Sustainability, Transportation, and Healthcare.  Open to enrolled students or if you have completed your studies after July 1st 2018.  You must be the owner/creator of the project you are submitting.

AfterCollege Scholarship

For students in good standing in an accredited program in the field of Engineering, Engineering Technology, or Computer Science.  Due March 31st, June 30th, September 30th, and December 31st Annually

National Scholarship – Marshall

For outstanding UCLA Seniors or Recent Graduates to study for a graduate degree in any discipline at any British university in the United Kingdom.  Requires Campus Nomination: Submit application materials to Scholarship Resource Center by June 30th

National Scholarship – Mitchell

Aero Club of Southern California Scholarships

For students studying a discipline related to National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA)’s programs and mission

VENTUREWELL BMEidea Competition

For Graduate and undergraduate student teams at colleges and universities are eligible. Each team must include at least one engineering student. Teams are encouraged to incorporate members from diverse fields such as business, law, medicine, dentistry, nursing, physical therapy, life sciences, physical sciences, or other related disciplines. Projects should focus on a new health-related technology, be invented by students, and address a real clinical need. There is a limit of one entry per department and up to three entries per institution, and it is up to each department to coordinate which entries are submitted. Inter-institutional collaborations are also encouraged; we require a faculty advisor from each institution.
