Job Description:
Eliqs is looking for a hardworking, personable, and organized self-starter to serve as the company’s first engineer
focused on process improvement. Our novel production process – including digitally-printed shrink sleeves and
post-canning sleeve application – is a key competitive advantage for the company. This role will focus on and is
responsible for developing and deploying improvements across key physical processes in the company:
• Production (sleeve application, final packaging, etc.)
• Storage (storage infrastructure, inventory tracking system, etc.)
• Transportation (in-transit bulk packaging, etc.)

Our team is looking to invest heavily in the innovative solutions developed through these efforts. This role will
report directly to the founding team at Eliqs and help define the operational model for the company going
forward.

Mechanical Engineer Responsibilities
• Think strategically and creatively to identify process improvement opportunities across our production process
• Execute tactical improvement sprints across our production process
• Operate within pre-existing vendor relationships
• Provide an engineer’s perspective and expertise within company-wide conversations and decision making
• Remain organized and responsive within both internal and external communications
About You
• Mechanical engineer with experience in process design
• Passionate about process improvement and optimization
• Any experience in material science, fabrication, or industrial process is a plus
• Ready to work in a startup environment – self- sufficient, resourceful, and able to think outside the box to
solve problems independently
• Growth oriented and always looking for creative ways to make an impact
• Highly collaborative and able to work in a team environment – open communication is critical for success
Commitment and Compensation

We are interested in a part-time commitment of roughly 5 hours per week, with an opportunity for this to flex
according to ad hoc needs. We are unable to provide monetary compensation, but offer the opportunity to solve
interesting and impactful challenges at a rapidly growing start-up. We also offer free custom-designed beer made
just for you on a quarterly basis. There is potential for this to evolve into a full-time role upon graduation.
