The Department of Civil and Architectural Engineering and Mechanics at the University of Arizona is recruiting applicants for a PhD fellowship program dedicated to training in areas critical to rebuilding the nation’s infrastructures.

CAEM’s Resilient Infrastructure Program is developing sustainable smart systems and rehabilitation strategies in all areas of civil engineering.

The fellowships, including comprehensive mentoring and teaching activities, are sponsored through the U.S. Department of Education’s Graduate Assistance in Areas of National Need program.

Award
Fellows receive full tuition plus an annual stipend up to $34,000 a year.

Eligibility
The Department of Education stipulates that only U.S. citizens and permanent residents are eligible for GAANN fellowships.

Deadline
Priority deadline for fall 2019 admission is January 15. Applications will be reviewed upon receipt through May 1.
