Discover Engineering 2024

Welcome to your exclusive Discover UCLA Engineering for Transfer Students experience!

Congratulations to all our admitted UCLA Samueli School of Engineering and Applied Science transfer students!  We would like to invite all admitted students and their families to join us at the Discover UCLA Engineering for transfer students (DUET) in-person event on Saturday, May 11, 2024 from 2 – 4:30 PM.

We have a fun and informative day planned that starts with an Engineering Welcome from our deans in Mong Auditorium (Engineering 6 Room 180).  Attendees will also hear information from the Engineering Transfer Center about the Accelerator program for incoming engineering transfer students that starts the day after SIR in June.

Our Engineering Ambassadors will walk students over to the Community Expo in the Court of Sciences where you can meet with student leaders from our student organizations and design teams. You’ll also meet with our current engineering undergraduates and faculty or staff from your Departments. Returning engineering transfer students will be available to answer your questions about UCLA Engineering and transitioning your learning from your previous institution. From the School of Engineering Office of Academic and Student Affairs, our Undergraduate Internship & Research Program, Engineering Transfer Center, and the Academic Counselors will be available to share information and answer questions.

DUET is part of the larger Transfer Bruin Day event for all students who have been admitted to UCLA as transfer students.
