Description:

Reporting to the Vice-President of Sales, the position requires in-depth technical interface with customers in support of Hyperstone sales activities. The position is accountable for quick turnaround technical applications support and customer problem resolution. The ideal candidate will be a customer-focused individual with exceptional troubleshooting skills. Must be willing to travel and have the ability to work well under pressure. Candidate should have some experience in Solid State Disk Drive and Flash memory card design and development including end customer qualification experience. Familiar with embedded 32 bit RISC microcontroller architecture and code in C, C++, and Assembler Language. Specific experience in supporting SD, eMMC, USB, eUSB, CF, IDE/PATA and SATA, PCIe is desired.

Responsibilities:

 Be a key Hyperstone technical interface for all customers in the Americas in
order to successfully achieve customer Design wins and meet Hyperstone
design-win objectives
 Develop application notes, Whitepapers, and any other Technical Documents
as required
 Work with Development Engineering to insure reference designs and
evaluation boards are effective and correct
 Provide feedback and suggestions to Marketing and Management on new
product features and enhanced FW features
 Travel to end customers to work closely with the Customer’s design team.
Real time technical phone interface with customers, reps, distributors
 Provide documentation for customer specific firmware modifications that
encompass minor changes to the general firmware, including a Statement of
Work
 Provide technical support for trade shows
 Provide Rep and Distributor training
 Participate in proposal preparation and customer presentations
 Provide input to Marketing for New Product Development

Qualifications:

The successful candidate will be a high-energy people-oriented individual who is innovative and customer focused, with the ability to understand customer requirements at the technical level to apply exceptional Troubleshooting skills.
 BSEE/MSEE, BSCS/MSCS, with understanding of Flash Memory drives.
 Flash card Memory controller code development is a plus.
 Excellent communications, analytical and presentation skills
 Knowledge and experience in programming using Assembler and C language
 Real time System design experience with microprocessors including hardware
and some hardware-related software (such as drivers)
 Experience programming in a real-time, multi-tasking Operating System
embedded environment a plus
