Interested in joining an interdisciplinary research lab? The UCLA iGEM Synthetic Biology Team is currently recruiting for its 2019 Research cohort! We welcome self-motivated, independent, and hard-working students from all majors and years who are available to commit to the project over summer and the school year – No previous research experience needed. As UCLA’s only undergraduate-run synthetic biology team, we present at national intercollegiate conferences and strive for undergraduate-led publications.
Our students explore and immerse themselves in the world of synthetic biology, and have the opportunity to design their own research projects, work with a broad range of genetic engineering, molecular biology, and biochemistry experimental techniques. Recruited researchers execute projects alongside a team of peers and faculty advisors, earning SRP 99/199 credit as well.
