Schneider-Electric is inviting EE and MAE students to take a visit to the Department of Energy’s Solar Decathlon (http://www.solardecathlon.gov/) in Irvine. The Solar Decathlon is a world renown international competition for highly energy efficient solar-powered houses. If you are interested in a visit to the site, the company is inviting members and a few others from the UCLA campus down to Orange County Great Park on the afternoon of Friday October 11th. They will provide dinner for the evening so that your members are able to explore the village, interact with vendors, and listen to some of the speakers. This is a phenomenal event and I believe a great opportunity for UCLA to potentially form a team and compete in the future.
