TBP Cardboard Boat Race (5/21) *When: *Saturday, May 21st, 12:00PM-4:00PM *What: *Are you interested in leading and/or being on a team representing SWE in the Tau Beta Pi Cardboard Boat Race? If so, please email swe@seas.ucla.edu with your name, contact information, and your interest in the competition ASAP. Information on the competition: Tau Beta Pi is hosting a Cardboard Boat Race competition for all students! Teams of up to 6 people will build a boat from the supplied cardboard and duct tape and then choose one or two team members to paddle themselves across the pool. All materials will be provided, but you may bring extra box cutters or scissors to help speed up your construction. The fastest boat team will win $100 for first place, with second and third place prizes of $75 and $25. A special prize will also be given to the most creative boat, and snacks will be provided.
