2009-2010 TERM OFFERING CHANGES IN MECHANICAL AND AEROSPACE DEPARTMENT

MECH&AE enforces all pre-requisites/requisite for their courses through URSA on-line.
Students MUST meet pre-requisites before being allowed to enroll in MAE courses.

MAE 15- Fall only
MAE 105D- Fall, Winter
MAE 131A- Fall only*
MAE 133A- Winter only*
MAE 150A- Fall, Winter
MAE C150G- Spring only
MAE 156A- Fall, Winter
MAE 157S- Winter, Spring
MAE 155, 161A, 169A- Fall only**
MAE 182B - Winter
MAE 185 - Winter
MAE C187L - Fall, maybe Spring (no guarantee)

EE 100- Fall, Winter! (see EE schedule)

The following courses will NOT be offered 2009-2010:
MAE 131AL, MAE 133AL, MAE 134, MAE 150C, MAE 150R*, MAE 153A,
MAE 161B*, MAE 161D, MAE 163A, MAE 172, MAE 174, MAE 181A, MAE 184;
Due to budget restraints the electives being offered 09-10 are limited.
Students are advised to take advantage of the electives that are being offered in order to ensure
there is no delay in their time to graduation.

*Aerospace Students interested in MAE 150R or MECH&AE 161B should plan to take MAE 161R.
MECH&AE 161R (Space Technology and Rocket Propulsion) is a new course, which combines MAE 150R
and MAE 161B.  It will be offered Winter 2010.
NOTE: Students who have taken BOTH MAE 150R and MAE 161B  are not eligible to enroll in this
course.  Students who have taken one of either MAE 150R or MAE 161B are eligible to take MAE 161R.

*MECH students in the 2006 catalog and thereafter are required one course
from MAE 131A or 133A.  If you plan to graduate Spring 2010 then you must complete
131A, Fall 2009 OR take 133A, Winter 2010.
*MECH students in the 2005 catalog are required both MAE 131A and 133A.
If you plan to graduate Spring 2010 then you must complete both 131A, Fall 2009
AND 133A, Winter 2010.

Please note 131A or 133A, 162B, and 171A are pre-requisites to MAE 162M (required
all MECH catalog years).

**Aerospace Students following the 2006 catalog and thereafter are required to take one
course from MECH&AE 155 OR 161A OR 169A.
**Aerospace Students following the 2005 catalog and prior are required to take one course
from MECH&AE 161A OR 169A.

AE students who plan to graduate Spring 2010 are advised to complete the requirement
by Fall 2009 to ensure time to degree.

Students are encouraged to pick up the latest HSSEAS Announcement every
Fall quarter (October) at 6426 Boelter Hall.  The announcement will have the most recent
term offerings and pre-requisite updates for MECH&AE courses and other engineering courses.

previous year(s).  It is not the most updated information.  The above information
is the most current up to date information as provided directly from the MAE department.
