Undergraduate Honors at Graduation

Gold Fourrageres

Gold Fourrageres, made of braided cord and worn over the arm at the left shoulder, signify academic distinction and are awarded to those undergraduates who have attained Latin honors (see the HSSEAS 2009-2010 Announcement under, "Latin Honors", for eligibility). Candidates for Spring 2010 graduation will be eligible to wear the gold fourrageres based on their grades through Winter 2010 since their final grades will not be available at the time of Commencement. However, the actual award of Latin honors will be determined after all grades are evaluated. Questions regarding eligibility for Latin honors should be referred to the Degree Auditors at 6426 Boelter Hall.

In June, the Graduation Etc. store in Ackerman Union will have a list of those students eligible to wear the gold fourrageres. Those eligible for the gold fourrageres may obtain them when they rent their academic attire.
